To enhance the professional competence of research personnel, overcome key catalytic technologies in the nylon industry chain, and address technical bottlenecks encountered during the R&D process of scientific research projects, On the morning of January 30, Shenma Shares held a “Catalyst Technology Lecture Series” in the conference room on the first floor of the nylon materials pilot base.
This event is organized and planned by the Nylon New Materials Research Institute of Shenma Shares. The first lecture features Liang Wei, Chairman of Shenma Catalytic Technology Co., Ltd., as the keynote speaker, and R&D personnel from the nylon industry are attending on-site.
Liang Wei, drawing on years of R&D and industrial practice experience, with... Entitled “Catalyst Preparation and Formulation,” this work systematically reviews the core aspects of catalyst preparation and formulation, including the objectives of catalyst preparation and formulation, the selection of formulation aids and forming techniques, and how catalyst preparation and formulation can be integrated with industrial practice. The author elaborates in detail on the selection principles for active catalyst components and support materials, and provides an in-depth explanation of various classic preparation methods—such as precipitation and impregnation—as well as their key control parameters. Through a wealth of practical examples, the author compares the principles, application scenarios, and advantages and disadvantages of major formulation techniques, including extrusion, spray drying, tabletting, and oil-column molding.
The entire lecture was rich in content and logically well-organized, featuring both a solid theoretical foundation and close alignment with the realities of industrial production. During the Q&A session, participants engaged in lively and insightful discussions with Liang Wei about the challenges they’ve encountered in catalyst preparation, shaping, and application development. The academic atmosphere at the event was exceptionally vibrant, and attendees unanimously expressed that the lecture’s content was highly inspiring and would provide significant guidance for future R&D efforts.
It is reported that the “Catalyst Technology Lecture Series” is one of the key academic events planned by the Nylon New Materials Research Institute for this year. Moving forward, the Institute will continue to invite renowned experts from prestigious universities and research institutions—including East China University of Science and Technology and Yaoshan Laboratory—to share in-depth insights on topics such as catalyst characterization, mechanistic studies, and industrial applications. By consistently organizing this lecture series, the Institute aims to further promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, thereby laying a solid technological foundation for the sustainable development of Shenma Shares’ nylon industry.
