The meeting screened educational warning videos on the “Post-Event Review of the Major May 4 Explosion in Liuyang, Hunan” and the “May 25 Extraordinarily Serious Fire at the Kangleyuan Senior Apartment in Lushan County, Henan.” It summarized the basic facts, direct causes, underlying problems, and painful lessons learned from the two incidents—the May 4 Liuyang Huasheng explosion and the May 2 Lingbao fire—and placed particular emphasis on conveying and studying the instructions and requirements issued by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the State Council regarding the Hunan Liuyang fireworks explosion.
