Henan Shenma Nylon Technology Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Shenma Industrial, Hengshen Synthetic Fiber, and Dongxin Coking. The company is investing a total of 1.2 billion yuan to build a project that will annually produce 100,000 tons of ultra-lightweight, ultra-soft, and exceptionally comfortable differentiated nylon yarns for civilian use, catering to the market demand for high-end, comfortable, and functional apparel. The company currently holds 16 utility model intellectual property rights and has been recognized as a "Green Factory in Henan Province," a "Specialized, Sophisticated, and Novel Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise in Henan Province," and an "Innovative SME in Henan Province." Additionally, it has been selected as a demonstration base for 5G-enabled and industrial-internet-driven intelligent manufacturing under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Henan Shenma Nylon Technology: Leading the High-End Textile Industry with "Intelligence" and "Quality"
On the speed skating rink at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Chinese athletes clad in Anta uniforms sped past at incredible speeds—thanks to their gear, which has garnered widespread attention for its exceptional dryness and breathability. The vibrant "China Red" fabric used in these outfits comes from Henan Shenma Nylon Technology Co., Ltd., located in the New Nylon Materials Development Zone. With a single nylon filament measuring just 0.01 millimeters in diameter, the company is injecting momentum into the transformation of this resource-based city, helping China's Nylon City inch closer to its ambitious goal of becoming an industry worth over 100 billion yuan.
Walking into Shenma's intelligent nylon workshop, you won’t see the traditional sight of flying cotton fluff—instead, robotic arms precisely grab spools of filament, while driverless transport vehicles glide smoothly along tracks. This key provincial industrial project, which has received an investment of 1.2 billion yuan, is reshaping Henan’s textile industry landscape through智能化 (intelligent) manufacturing.
"The company's leader stated, 'Pingdingshan produced China's first nylon cord fabric back in 1981, yet the civilian nylon sector has remained largely blank for a long time.'"
To break through this situation, leveraging the raw material advantages of China Nylon City and Hengshen Group's three decades of textile expertise, Shenma Nylon completed its first-phase project in 2021, producing 100,000 tons of nylon 6 civilian-grade filaments annually. This not only filled the gap in Henan Province’s nylon industry but also established the province’s first complete "caprolactam—pelletizing—spinning" industrial chain. The rollout of the first batch of AA-grade nylon filaments marks the moment when Henan now boasts an independent, high-end production base for civilian-grade nylon.
Today, demand for nylon 6 civilian yarn is strong, with widespread applications in high-end textile fabrics, specialized sportswear, and casual athletic wear. In 2024, the company achieved full production and full sales, maintaining operations even during the Spring Festival period, resulting in a year-on-year production increase of approximately 20%.
Smart Manufacturing: Quality Upgrades in the 5G Factory
The core value of intelligent manufacturing lies in ensuring higher and more consistent product quality, significantly boosting the rate of superior-quality products.
In 2018, the company initiated the construction of an automated packaging line and a three-dimensional warehouse. Two years later, it completed an internationally advanced, intelligent packaging line that automates transportation, thread retrieval, packing, and palletizing—resulting in a 50% increase in efficiency and a reduction of three-quarters in workforce requirements.
In the balancing workshop, silk rolls are left to rest for 48 hours in a constant-temperature and constant-humidity environment, allowing the fiber stress to fully release. This process ensures dyeing uniformity reaches Grade 4.5, exceeding the international standard by 0.5 grades. The company employs intelligent, integrated control equipment to implement online monitoring and quality management across all product elements, every stage of the production process, and throughout the product’s entire lifecycle.
Not only that, the company has also introduced advanced international Uster evenness testers for precision testing, keeping the linear density deviation within ±1.5% and achieving a breaking strength of 4.0 cN/dtex—exceeding the national standard by 10%. These stringent specifications are precisely what ensure the Winter Olympics apparel boasts exceptional tear resistance and superior thermal performance.
At the same time, intelligent manufacturing also boasts green attributes. Companies are leveraging VOC electric tar removal equipment to convert waste gases into clean energy, while permanent-magnet motors ensure that energy consumption per ton of filament remains at just 80% of the national first-level standard—earning high praise from international experts.
Innovation: A 2.7-Million-Meter Efficiency Revolution
At the beginning of 2024, the company successfully developed a 6KG-specification product, with a single spool of yarn measuring an impressive 2.7 million meters in length—enough to circle Beijing’s Forbidden City approximately 300 times. This breakthrough not only enhanced the evenness of the yarn but also set a new industry standard for cost reduction and efficiency gains across the entire production chain.
Large-roll products significantly save on packaging materials, such as paper tubes, and reduce transportation losses. Customers experience fewer roll-changeovers, effectively lowering labor costs while boosting production efficiency. This product has quickly gained popularity among apparel companies in regions like Suzhou & Hangzhou, Fujian, and Guangdong.
Deepen industry-academia-research collaboration. The company has partnered with Henan Urban Construction College and other universities to overcome five key technical challenges, including "uneven yarn quality in large winding packages," and has developed more than 10 new products, securing 16 independent intellectual property rights. Additionally, the company has achieved ISO9001 quality management system certification and the Integration of IT and Industrialization Management System certification, earning it the prestigious AAA-rated National Quality Credit Enterprise status.
Enhancing the proportion of functional and high-end differentiated products is a key pathway to achieving high-quality development. Shennama Nylon, leveraging its "specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative" strengths, has earned widespread acclaim from customers both within and outside provinces, including those in Suzhou, Hangzhou, Fujian, Guangdong, and Zhoukou.
Future: Digital Threads Expand Global Presence
Advancing into a new era, the second-phase project of Shenma Nylon is now being rapidly constructed, with production scheduled to begin in October this year. At that time, the company will become the largest civilian nylon 6 filament producer north of the Yangtze River.
“Establishing a demonstration base for intelligent manufacturing of nylon and building a high-quality, digitally-driven benchmark enterprise” is the company’s core vision. From the “Pingdingshan Smart Manufacturing” showcased on the Winter Olympics stage to spearheading industry-leading innovation with the 6KG product breakthrough, Shenma Nylon is steadily advancing China’s Nylon City onto the global stage.
