On the afternoon of October 13, good news came from the newly added salt-forming process project at the adipic acid unit of China Pingmei Shenma Group Nylon Technology Co., Ltd.—the salt-forming product has officially rolled out with qualified quality, marking a successful breakthrough in a critical milestone of the project and injecting fresh momentum into the group's efforts to optimize and upgrade its nylon 66 industrial chain, as well as into the development of China's Nylon City initiative.
It is reported that the project will be located within the existing premises of the Nylon Technology Company, fully leveraging the site's established technical and utility resources. This approach will effectively reduce construction investment and shorten the project timeline, aligning with the construction principle of "minimal input, maximum output, and rapid development." The project will strictly adhere to the standards of "advanced processes, mature technology, reliable equipment, and economically sound operations," employing cutting-edge domestic production technologies. The goal is to achieve stable operation, low energy consumption, minimal emissions of the three major waste streams, and superior product quality once the facility is operational—ensuring that the products remain highly competitive in both domestic and international markets.
In terms of green development and safe production, the project adheres to the "Three Simultaneities" principle, ensuring that waste management, fire safety, security measures, and occupational health protocols are designed, constructed, and put into operation simultaneously with the main equipment. By promoting comprehensive recycling of production resources and adopting energy-efficient processes and equipment, the project not only significantly reduces raw material and energy consumption while minimizing waste emissions—but also implements integrated treatment for the three types of waste generated during production, guaranteeing that emissions meet stringent environmental standards and fully comply with clean production requirements. Meanwhile, from site and equipment layout, to DCS control and interlocking systems, as well as raw material transportation and product distribution, every aspect of the operation is meticulously equipped with robust safety measures, ensuring both the secure functioning of the plant and the well-being of its operators.
The newly added 100,000-ton-per-year nylon 66 salt (dry basis) plant will provide critical support for the group’s existing production capacity: on one hand, it will fully leverage HydroChem’s hexamethylenediamine capacity, and on the other, it will help NylonTech’s 150,000-ton-per-year adipic acid facility operate at full load. More importantly, this project will further enhance industrial synergy within China Nylon City Park—by using pipelines to transport HydroChem’s hexamethylenediamine directly to NylonTech’s salt-forming unit, where it will react with purified adipic acid to produce high-quality nylon 66 salt solution. This solution will then be transported via pipeline to the park’s帘子布 Development Company and Engineering Plastics Company, significantly reducing both raw material transportation and manufacturing costs. Ultimately, the project will effectively address key gaps in the park’s nylon 66 industry chain, providing a solid foundation for China Nylon City to grow stronger and more competitive on a larger scale.
“Nylon Technology Company’s successful implementation of this project is not only a significant step in extending its own industrial chain, but will also drive China Pingmei Shenma Group "The company's head said, 'Our core competitiveness in the nylon industry has been further enhanced, contributing to the high-quality development of the regional economy.'"
