The spring breeze brings warmth, and volunteers walk together. As the anniversary of Lei Feng’s memorial day approaches, March 4, The Youth League Committee of the Nylon Chemical Company organized a volunteer service event titled “Learn from Lei Feng, Do Volunteer Work, and Advance Together Toward the 15th Five-Year Plan” at the entrance of the Dispatch Center, using concrete actions to carry forward and promote the spirit of Lei Feng while putting socialist core values into practice.

The event venue was bustling with people and brimming with excitement. Multiple volunteer service booths—offering free health checkups, legal consultations, civility promotion, home appliance repair, eyeglass and jewelry cleaning, as well as quiz games with prizes—were lined up in a row, attracting a large number of employees eager to take part.

The most popular area was undoubtedly the “Q&A Zone on the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Spirit of the First Session of the Second Trade Union Congress of the Group, as well as the 2026 Work Conference,” where long lines formed in front of the booth. Notably, to ensure that frontline shift workers had a high participation rate, this event adopted a ticket‑based participation model, with quota allocations favoring frontline employees—allowing more workers who steadfastly hold production and operation posts to attend in person. The employees were brimming with enthusiasm, seamlessly moving from drawing questions and answering them to spinning the prize wheel for a chance to win. “Not only can you win prizes by answering questions correctly, but you also learn new knowledge—and now I’ve got a practical foldable moon chair! It’ll be so much more comfortable when I go fishing outdoors in the future!” The employee, clutching their prize, was overjoyed, their face radiating the sheer delight of having gained something meaningful.

The free health consultation area remained just as popular. “Your blood pressure is a bit high—be sure to follow a low-sodium diet and get some appropriate exercise,” a young volunteer said as they carefully measured employees’ blood pressure while offering advice. The professional services and warm care earned thumbs-up from the employees who came for check-ups: “Being able to measure blood pressure and learn about health right on campus—it’s truly so thoughtful! Kudos to the volunteers!”

In the home appliance repair and cleaning service area, volunteers transformed into skilled craftsmen, expertly disassembling, inspecting, and cleaning appliances. The malfunctioning electric massage chair was back in operation, the stained glasses were sparkling anew, and the faded jewelry once again gleamed with brilliance. “I never thought we could get small appliances repaired for free—these volunteers really have amazing skills!” Holding the repaired electric kettle in his hands, an employee thanked them repeatedly.

According to statistics, this event distributed more than 260 practical prizes, including folding moon chairs, bath towels, and gloves, and repaired 16 small household appliances such as electric massage chairs, electric fans, and hair dryers. Thanks to their enthusiastic and attentive service, the volunteers earned unanimous praise from the employees.
