On September 28, inside the building housing Poly Materials Company's second-phase nylon 6 plant with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons, the production line was running at full speed, creating a bustling scene on site.

Against the backdrop of intensifying industry competition, China's nylon-6 sector is facing challenges such as declining prices and insufficient operating rates. However, Poly Materials Company continues to operate steadily, maintaining a daily production output of 800 tons. "Our products enjoy strong market competitiveness, and currently, our flagship products are essentially sold immediately after they’re produced," says Cheng Huage, Deputy Director of the company’s Polymerization Workshop No. 2.

To enhance product competitiveness, the company actively benchmarks itself against leading domestic and international enterprises, thoroughly analyzing the quality gaps between its products and industry leaders. By combining internal quality inspections with third-party testing, the company conducts a comprehensive evaluation of all key product metrics. Additionally, it has entrusted professional institutions and universities to assist in completing relevant tests, enabling precise identification of the critical factors that influence product quality.

After an in-depth analysis to identify the key factors, technical leaders from each production workshop jointly formulated quality improvement goals and engaged in thorough discussions centered on process optimization and equipment upgrades.

Regarding the issue of abnormal liquid level fluctuations in the core production unit—the high-efficiency extraction tower—Polymerization Workshop One and Polymerization Workshop Two jointly conducted a technical seminar. Ultimately, they decided to replace the ball valve on the high-efficiency extraction tower with a globe valve, significantly enhancing operational precision and controllability.

Meanwhile, the company organized operational staff to participate in a systematic "theory + hands-on practice" training program. Through centralized lectures, on-site demonstrations, and one-on-one assessments, employees are ensured to master both the equipment principles and operational procedures thoroughly.

Since the implementation of the aforementioned optimization measures, the efficient extraction tower has not experienced any production interruptions caused by liquid level fluctuations.

Since June, the company has added more than 10 new customers, and its products are now exported to countries such as South Korea, Japan, and Turkey.

According to reports, the company is also steadily driving its product portfolio toward differentiation and high-end positioning. Currently, it is investing 12 million yuan to build a new 5-ton-per-day product testing line. Once completed, this facility will focus on the research, development, and pilot production of cutting-edge, premium products, injecting fresh momentum into the company's efforts to capture the high-end market.
