Recently, at the site of the second-phase project for nylon 6 civilian filament at Shenma Nylon Technology Co., Ltd., the technicians from the equipment installation team, armed with vernier calipers, were meticulously fine-tuning core equipment such as winding machines, ensuring that measurement errors were kept within the millimeter range.

It is understood that the project is accelerating the installation and commissioning of the production lines. Currently, the single-machine commissioning for both the front-end and back-end spinning processes has been completed. It is expected that the installation and commissioning of all equipment will be finished around New Year's Day, and trial operations are set to begin in the first quarter of 2026.

As the first demonstration project in Henan Province to integrate the entire “caprolactam—pellets—spinning” value chain, the company’s Phase I project, since going into operation in 2021, has produced and developed a range of nylon 6 civilian filament products that outperform cotton fiber and wool fiber in terms of functionality. This has filled a market gap in Henan Province, attracted numerous downstream enterprises to set up operations in the surrounding area, triggered an industrial agglomeration effect, and made the company an important link in the Shenma Nylon industry chain.

The second-phase project has a total investment of 673 million yuan. Its main construction components include production lines capable of annually producing 45,000 tons of differentiated nylon 6 civilian filaments and 15,000 tons of modified functional nylon 6 fibers. The project will employ industry-leading equipment and smart manufacturing technologies to enhance efficiency and product quality. In addition, it is equipped with supporting facilities such as an R&D and dispatch center and an employee cafeteria, as well as utility systems including nitrogen generation systems, power distribution systems, water supply and drainage systems, air conditioning systems, and fire protection systems. Furthermore, the project includes environmental protection facilities for treating exhaust gases and wastewater.

To ensure timely progress, the project adopted a parallel approach for installation and commissioning: one line was being installed while another was undergoing process debugging, thereby reducing the commissioning period to roughly one-third of its original length.

Wu Xianghui, Deputy General Manager of the company, stated that the Phase II project is not only an expansion of production capacity but also aims to establish a “new industrial highland” centered on intelligent manufacturing. Taking the Phase II project as a starting point, the company will help drive technological innovation and product upgrades in the nylon 6 civilian filament industry, further enhancing its market competitiveness.
